The bedrooms feel more like a comfy den and the dining room is what a family meal is all about. The house speaks of comfort and country charm.
You can take a hike, or snow shoe, on the adjoining state land, along the old abandoned rail road tracks and end up at a branch of the Esopus River. In the warmer months you can put on your water mocs and continue your hike in the shallow water!
Near the towns of Shandaken and Big Indian, you are only about 2 ½ hours drive from New York City. Or take the bus, it’ll drop you off less than a half mile from the house.
Five minutes to Belleayre Mountain and local shopping. 10 minutes to Margaretville for shopping, restaurants, galleries, yoga, and antiques.
