A lovely house to stay at. There’s a lovely hiking loop on the property. Kitchen is well stocked. Expect a few bugs, spiders, and flies to get in, but overall clean. We had a great relaxing and peaceful weekend

The modern touches of this cozy country home are matched only by the beauty of nature that surrounds it.
Arrive to the glass walled porch. It opens wide to the lawn, paths, and the 12 acres of Catskill Mountains privacy beyond.
Come inside where the open feeling of the "great room" area starts with the well appointed kitchen. Prepare a great meal with everyone nearby. The glass walls and door of the porch bring you out to nature - and brings nature to you,
Head outside and sit at the pond - watch the sunset over the mountains to a symphony of frogs!
Grill and eat outside under the stars.
Just a couple of minutes’ drive to great hiking on Balsam Lake Mountain / Dry Brook Ridge trail. And only a 25 minute drive to Huckleberry Brook Trail
It’s a short drive to great restaurants and shopping in Big Indian, Phoenicia, Woodstock, Margaretville, Andes, and Roxbury.

Kudos
Such a lovely spot. Hosts were very responsive and everything was freshly cleaned for our arrival. Highly recommend!
Beautiful property. I liked the open layout of the house and the glass porch area was great to hang out in on a nice day with the door open. Loved the radiant heated floors too.
Great stay!!
We stayed here with our pup. The space is spacious and feels like home away from home. The view is spectacular! I just could not get enough of it. You will see critters out here so if you have pups who like chasing things, be on a look out! You will not regret booking this place. Just know you are about 6 miles away from the nearest grocery store.
A perfect place for peace and quiet and great access to hiking.
SO many wonderful things to say about our amazing stay! First off: the property. We've stayed upstate in many different cabins over the years, but this one had the most picturesque scenery we've seen by far. The pond is beautiful and it's a little ecosystem unto itself that is so fun to explore. It draws lots of wildlife too, which means we got to see deer roaming the property and even a bear. There is also a path to take around the property that is really lovely too. The covered garage-style front porch is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy everything the property has to offer. The home was clean, well-decorated, and had everything we needed, especially the kitchen. Overall it was a treasured stay that we will definitely remember, and we would love to stay again in the future!
Living in a big city we strive to be close to nature - this house met our expectations fully. The location is great, the house is on a large parcel of land in a valley, between a narrow road and a gentle slope with a large meadow on it, and a forest all around. There is a pond on the property, so in spring and summer you will hear frogs as well as birds in the surrounding trees. It is in the middle of a forest (not completely secluded - there are other houses in some distance), so you can expect to see larger animals too - we saw a lot of cute deer coming to drink from the pond and even a black bear. The house is comfortable, with all necessary amenities, two bedrooms and a bathroom located in the back of the house, a huge living room and a kitchen in the front. There is also an enclosed porch with large windows -our cat liked to watch birds from there. We loved sitting in front of the house by the fire, watching stars and fireflies above the meadow or by the wood stove inside.
This is a beautiful simple place on beautiful land with a lot of privacy. The appliances all worked well and the how water was great in the shower.
Was an enjoyable stay. Easy to find
We've been staying in various places across the Catskills for more than a decade, and this is one of the most interesting and beautiful properties we've seen. The meadow, pond, and hills were just stunning and could be enjoyed even when it rained, given the glass facade. It's also close to good trailheads, especially the Dry Brook Ridge trail just up the road.
Location is pristine, quiet, and in higher elevation so the weather was perfectly cool and full of thunderstorms. Really great secluded area of the Catskills with great access to trails and streams. House was well stocked with supplies, clean atmosphere for a mountain cabin, and all amenities worked perfectly. Really enjoyed the larger bath tub, pond, and sunroom. Overall loved it and would book again! Special bonus was the mother bear and 3 cubs who visited the backyard meadow multiple times during our visit, as well as all the newts, frogs, and snakes at the pond our little girl enjoyed immensely.
Beautiful, serene space. Remote but not too far from groceries, restaurants, etc. Walking the property with our dog was highlight of every morning. Makes it into our list of go-to Catskill rentals.
Our family loved this place so much we didn't want to leave! It's beautiful, peaceful, and just remote enough to thoroughly disconnect from city life, but close enough to interesting towns with great restaurants and shops. The cabin itself is spacious and loft like, and we loved opening the garage door in the sunroom so we could commune with the outdoors even while "inside". There are critters all around -- so many little frogs, newts, toads, and deer, of course. We did see a bear up on the hill of the property a couple of times, so we kept an airhorn handy just in case we "bumped" into it unexpectedly. Bring along some waterproof shoes as you'll want to walk the paths around the property and they tend to be pretty wet until the late morning. Beds were comfy and nights were delightfully cool. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
Great location, quiet and out in nature. 16 minutes from skiing and 18 minutes from some really good food options. Would happily return.
